Granola Bars

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of chopped nuts (I used almonds, pecans & walnuts) 

  • 1 1/2 cups mixed seeds (I used pepitas & sunflower seeds)

  • 1 cup shredded coconut

  • 2 tbsp hemp seeds

  • 1 tbs chia seeds

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 2/3 cups honey

  • 3 tbsp coconut oil

  • OPTIONAL: 2 drops doTERRA Cinnamon Essential Oil

 

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 170C

  • Roughly chop the nuts and add to a mixing bowl

  • Stir through the mixed seeds, coconut, hemp seeds, chia seeds and salt

  • Heat the honey and coconut on the stove until just melted then pour into nut mixture

  • Add essential oil (if using)

  • Stir through until combined then press mixture into a lined baking tray

  • Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown

  • Once completely cooled, use a sharp knife to cut into bar-sized pieces

  • Store in an airtight container. Store in the fridge for a more crunchy bar
